Since establishment, on the basis of scientific and technological innovations and sustainable development, Leader has scored series remarkable achievements in terms of scientific research and development, production management and market development:
In January 2001, “gas phase full density PE catalyst”became the first batch of commercialization project of high-tech research findings (class A) in Shanghai.
From March 2001 to the end of June 2001, Leader completed the plant construction and commissioning with great efforts within 108 days, thusly achieving successful operation within one attempt.
By December 31, 2001, Leader implemented annual sales revenue of 8.8251 million RMB, thusly achieving the performance of construction in current year, production in current year, successful application in current year, gaining profit in current year and profit sharing in current year.
In January 2002, Leader product SCG-1 catalyst was successfully on trial at PE production units of large-scaled chemical enterprises in Indonesia and Malaysia. Domestic PE catalyst went global for the first time.
In June 2002, Leader passed ISO9001:2000 quality system certification.
In October 2002, SCG-1 gas phase PE catalyst won state second prize of scientific and technological advancement and Sinopec first prize of scientific and technological advancement.
In November 2002, new type high performance PE catalyst won the silver award of Shanghai International Industry Fair.
In 2002-2009, Leader was granted with Shanghai High-tech Enterprise.
In January 2003, Leader product SLC-i catalyst was successfully on trial at Taiwan customer’s plant, which not only marked our successful occupation of Taiwan market, but also meant that our product is applicable for both gas phase fluidized bed PE process units and BP INNOVENE process units.
In May 2003, SCG-1 gas phase PE catalyst won the first prize of Shanghai patented invention.
In June 2003, Leader independently developed “the catalyst specially used for production of high density PE”, “catalyst of high bed and bulk density”and “multiple activity grade catalyst”for China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation and completed the research & development assignment of chromium series catalyst for production of polyethylene with medium and wide molecular weight distribution. Foregoing products have been widely used at the customer’s units.
In December 2003, the patent for preparation of gas phase PE catalyst won China patent excellence award.
In January 2004, the gas phase high performance PE catalyst won state second prize of scientific and technological advancement.
In January 2004, the slurry charging PE catalyst SLC-S was successfully on trial at the production unit of Yangzi Petrochemical Company Limited in Nanjing. At present, it has been used in batches at PE units of Yangzi Petrochemical, Maoming Petrochemical and Tianjin Petrochemical as well as Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group Limited, Zhongtian Hechuang Energy Company and Pucheng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. and other large-sized petrochemical enterprises.
In June 2005, the gas phase full density PE high performance catalyst was awarded with the title of National Key New Products.
In April 2006, Leader’s SLC-B catalyst was successfully completed with commercialized trial at bi-modal PE catalyst unit of Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited. To date, it has fully substituted the imported catalyst and won the first award of Sinopec 2009 scientific and technological advancement.
In 2007, the chromium series catalyst SCG-4 developed and produced by Leader was commercially used at large quantities in South Korea for the first time.
In January 2009, the slurry catalyst charging system researched and developed by Leader became the first set of licensed equipment of domestic polyethylene technology. Leader thusly became a genuine licensor. By the end of 2016, Leader has successfully transferred five sets of foregoing equipment, which are not being operated at five gas phase polyethylene units. Besides, the contract has been concluded for another set of equipment and commissioning is now ongoing.
In January 2010, Leader was awarded with Shanghai Scientific and Technological Innovation Enterprise.
In November 2010, the development and industrialization project of SLC series new type PE catalyst was awarded with Shanghai First Prize of Science and Technology.
In June 2011, Leader’s commercialization project of high-tech research findings of “new type gas phase PE high performance catalyst”was awarded with Shanghai Top 10 Independent Innovation Projects and Top 100 Excellence Projects.
In June 2011, SCL-S catalyst was on trial at Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Company Limited, which was the first trial of our slurry catalyst at northwest coal chemical market, thusly accumulating precious experience for subsequent development of coal chemical market.
In August 2011, Leader was awarded with the honorary title of Shanghai “Top 10 and Top 100 Excellence Enterprises”.
In February 2012, new chromium series catalyst SLH-211-A underwent commercial trial at Guangzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for the first time. Besides, online hot state switchover of titanium series catalyst to chromium series catalyst was successfully conducted without change of the bed, which was an innovation in domestic catalyst industry.
In October 2012, Leader was granted with the title of “2012 Shanghai Innovative Enterprise”.
In July 2013, new type chromium series catalyst SLH-711-A underwent commercial trial at Daqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for the first time. Material grade was successfully developed and produced for high strength IBC tank and vehicle fuel tank, which was an innovation in domestic gas phase PE industry.
In March 2013, new type magnesium and titanium series dry powder catalyst SLC-SP2 underwent commercial trial at Maoming Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for the first time. Special material grade was successfully developed and produced for high melting point IBC low density PE, which filled the gap of domestic catalyst technology in this aspect.
In October 2014, Leader passed Shanghai High-tech Enterprise Certification.
In November 2014, “new type PE catalyst applicable for INNOVENE technology”was awarded with the third prize of Shanghai key product quality vitalization and brainstorming.
In June 2015, magnesium and titanium series dry powder catalysts SLC-i and SLC-G underwent commercial trial at foreign customer BASELL Spherilence C’s polyethylene plant for the first time and achieved success, marking that Leader’s catalyst attained breakthrough at BASELL PE plant.
In November 2015, Leader was granted with the title of Shanghai “100 Excellence Enterprises”.
In March 2016, magnesium and titanium series dry powder catalysts SLC-i and SLC-G（HD）underwent commercial trial at Middle East customer BASELL Spherilence C’s polyethylene plant for the first time, marking a further breakthrough of Leader’s catalyst in the aspect of this technology.
