Research and development
Leader has successively undertaken many projects like the state innovation funds, Shanghai municipal backbone enterprise, small giant cultivation enterprise, etc. In addition, Sinopec also provided large quantities of financial support to our development projects. With continuously performance growth, Leader has kept on increasing the input into scientific research and development year by year. As a high-tech enterprise, we invest above 5% of the sales volume into our scientific research and development every year. 
   In the past years, Leader has been cooperating with many academic institutions, such as Zhejiang University, Changzhou University, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc., jointly tackling problems in terms of production technology improvement and product development. Besides, considering the parent institute—Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industryas the technical supporter, Leader continuously improves and updates the production units, the production technologies and product varieties and keeps on developing new types of PE catalysts in accordance with various PE producers’demand at home and abroad through taking advantage of the parent institute’s complete scientific research and development system and strength of talents. Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industrywas officially inaugurated to be “the National Key Laboratory of Polyethylene Catalysis Technology and Performance Materials”on February 23, 2016. 
    We have established a set of modern comprehensive polyethylene catalyst research and development laboratory with complete pilot plant, test instruments and advanced assessment system:
    Catalyst development laboratories
    Catalyst polymerization assessment laboratories
    Catalyst component analysis and testing laboratories
    Properties characterization laboratories
    Two sets of polyethylene catalyst assessment units;
    Slurry and gas phase analysis and detection instruments: (GPC-FTIR) gel permeation chromatography and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, 2000 laser particle size analyzer, ASAP-2000 specific surface/pore volume tester and other analysis and testing instruments.
